
Post office of the future!
Context:
Postal services are impacted by a rapidly changing environment: digitalization reduces the traditional mail business while parcel services gain in importance thanks to e-commerce. This transformation raises a crucial question: what is the role of post offices in our society today, and how can they continue to serve customers in meaningful ways?
Task:
To develop the digital platform for BPost’s service offering, creating seamless bridges between the online and offline worlds. The platform had to support parcels, financial services, and new customer journeys.
Solution:
We drew inspiration from BPost’s own “Post Office 2.0” pilot in Brussels: digital kiosks to orient visitors, distinct zones for parcels vs financial services, staff acting as coaches, and even dedicated spaces such as philatelic shops. Building on these innovations, we designed a hybrid digital platform that enhances guidance, reduces waiting times, and integrates both physical and digital touchpoints into one cohesive customer experience.
